"Hoop Shoot" Free Throw Contest
As the largest and most visible of the many youth activities sponsored by Elks Lodges Nationwide,
the "Hoop Shoot" highlights the Elks commitment to America's youth.

From the millions of youngsters who participate, six national champions are
named — one boy and one girl in each of three categories: ages 8-9, 10-11 and 12-13.

Moose Pass and Seward youth have done very well in these tournaments over the years.

Local Scholarships
The Elks National Foundation provides more than $3 million in college scholarships each year to graduating
high school seniors. Scholarships from this program are awarded to students graduating from Seward High School.

Youth Camp
Each year, the Seward Elks Lodge sends eight local youth to camp. Four boys and four girls are selected.

Breakfast with Santa
Each December, the Seward Elks sponsor a breakfast with Santa.

Community Center
With limited rental facilities here in Seward, the Elks have always made their space available to the
community at reasonable prices.

School dances, wedding receptions and many other joyous occassions have been celebrated at the Elks.
